Women joining together, for others, for each other!

Robbinsville Women’s Club

PURPOSE

The Washington Township Women’s Club is a civic, charitable and social organization. Our goals are to develop friendships among our members and contribute to our community.

Our organization was founded in 1973, as Washington Township Women's Club (WTWC). In 2009, our local government had a name change to Robbinsville Township, so we have also made the change, and now we are the Robbinsville Women's Club.

"We make a living by what we get; We make a life by what we give."            Winston Churchill

CIVIC

We help others through our civic activities. With the help of our fundraisers we have raised money to support the Sunshine Foundation’s Dreamlift, enabling terminally ill children to spend a day at Disney World, as well as donating to Womanspace, Inc., which provides shelter and assistance for victims of family violence. Funds have been used to acquire AT&T International Calling Cards that were sent to the U.S. Troops serving in IRAQ.

In support of the historical value of our town, we decorate the parlor of the Robbins House for seasonal and special events, generally in the historical time period of the 1860s.

Our Project Freedom residents get to enjoy Spring Baskets we create, which contain fresh fruits and snacks. Also in the Spring around St. Patrick’s Day, we enjoy playing Bingo at the Arcadia Nursing Home in Hamilton Twp.

In June we provide a monetary scholarship to a graduating female high school senior from our town's Robbinsville High School.

At Thanksgiving and at Christmas we contribute food gift certificates and food baskets to local families in need.

SOCIAL

Our social activities have included a Christmas Dinner and a Winter Social. The winter social is usually held at a member’s home. Spouses are included in these social events.

We wrap up our club year with a June dinner at a local restaurant. We recall and remember our year’s accomplishments and fun times, and we install our next years’ officers.

What is key to our long-term success is that our members enjoy the friendships of other women. This is a very important element of life and well-being in this world's cosmopolitan lifestyle.

We are always interested in increasing the growth of our Club, so if you would like to join or know someone who would, please feel free to contact any Club member, or any officer.
